1. All rental charges, deposits, and any additional fees related to the vehicle rental must be paid in advance. Late payments will incur charges based on the daily rental rate.

2. If collecting the vehicle from the airport, please notify us in advance.

3. The hirer is responsible for the cost of fuel, oil, and minor repairs up to LKR 3,500/- (USD 10).

4. For airport pick-up and drop-off services, early notification is required. Additional charges will apply.

5. The hirer must check and maintain the oil, water, spare tyre, jack, and tyre pressure daily.

6. In the event of a major breakdown, a substitute vehicle will be provided, excluding accidents.

7. In the event of an accident, the hirer is liable for an excess of LKR 75,000/- (USD 250) for cars and LKR 150,000/- (USD 500) for SUVs, as well as towing costs.

8. The vehicle must not be used for illegal purposes, under the influence of alcohol, or in areas of civil unrest. Subleasing or unauthorised use by third parties is strictly prohibited.

9. Only the individual who signed the rental agreement may drive the vehicle. For an additional driver, a fee will apply.

10. No refunds will be issued if the vehicle is returned before the rental period ends.
11. The daily mileage allowance is 100 kilometres. Excess mileage will be charged as per the rental agreement.

12. In the event of an accident, the hirer must first inform Ameri Rent A Car and then the vehicle’s insurance provider, ensuring all necessary documentation is obtained.

13. Delivery and collection within city limits are charged at LKR 2,000/- (USD 7) per service.

14. The hirer is responsible for all damages and rental costs if the insurance claim is rejected due to invalid documents or intoxication.

15. The hirer must inspect the vehicle at the time of collection and report any pre-existing damages.

16. The vehicle must be returned safely before 4:30 PM. If returned after this time, daily rental charges will apply until the vehicle is returned and the agreement is discharged. Additionally, a cleaning fee of LKR 6,000 (USD 20) will be charged for unwashed vehicles.

17. The hirer agrees to pay all rental, damage, and legal charges until the vehicle is returned.

18. Ameri Rent A Car is not liable for any costs or compensation to the hirer.

19. The contract will be terminated without notice if payment is not made in advance or in the case of any breach of these terms.

20. Abandoning the vehicle or leaving it unattended is prohibited. The hirer will be held responsible for any resulting damages.

21. The hirer is responsible for tyre damage, running the vehicle without oil, water, or fuel, or using the wrong fuel.

22. Rental extensions will be granted only upon advance payment, subject to these terms.

23. The hirer is liable for damage or loss of accessories, including audio equipment, remote keys, and other in-vehicle devices.

24. Lease rates are subject to change as per government tax regulations.

Important Note:

All vehicles are covered by comprehensive insurance with a deductible/excess of LKR 75,000/- (USD 250) for cars and LKR 150,000/- (USD 500) for SUVs. This amount is collected as a refundable deposit, which may be reduced in the event of damage.

There is no personal accident cover for drivers or passengers. Customers are advised to arrange personal travel insurance for injuries or hospitalisation.
